Chuck & Son’s might be one of the newer kids on the Trail, but it boasts more brewing experience than most. That’s because the Chuck in question is Chuck Hahn, the ‘godfather of Aussie craft beer’ and brewer behind James Squire, Malt Shovel and Hahn Brewery. Along with son Scott, they’ve opened a gorgeous brewpub with a sunny rooftop terrace and plenty of space for groups and families.
There’s also a dedicated food truck run by Tony Eats of Whole Beast Butchery fame, which serves a great range of burgers, salads, beer-battered chicken wings and even dagwood dogs!
Beerwise, expect a refined range of classic styles – lagers, pale ales, IPAs and amber ales – honed by a master. Throw in an impressive wine list and cocktails with a twist (negroni with hop-infused gin, anyone?), live music on the regular and a great kids’ play area and this brewery ticks all the boxes and more.
