Not many breweries can count a Prime Minister as a super fan but โWilliesโ sure can. Local MP-turned-PM Anthony Albanese is a proud supporter and even lends his face to their famous Albo pale ale.
Founded by Pat McInerney in 2012, the brewery takes its name from a 19th-century convict who ferried supplies and booze across the nearby Cooks River. Two centuries later, Willieโs legend is still celebrated, just with better beer than whatever he was swigging.
The breweryโs beautifully-decorated taproom channels a suitably nautical theme, alongside upcycled furniture, hanging plants and vintage paintings. Choose a paddle of Willieโs best at the beautiful hand-carved oak bar and grab a free sausage sizzle Friday to Sunday. The venue is super doggo-friendly and kid-compatible with monthly family days complete with a jumping castle.
