Training it to the Trail is easy with several stations close by. With its rail hub and new Metro, Sydenham station is just two minutes’ walk from Marrickville breweries like Batch, Hawke’s, Philter and more. Marrickville station is further to walk, but is also an option.
Get off at St Peters station to visit Future, Chuck & Son’s, Willie The Boatman and Brickworks, or alight at Newtown station to Young Henrys and Hopsters. Breweries like Wayward in Camperdown or White Bay in Rozelle are harder to get to by train, so buses are a better bet. Use Transport NSW’s trip planner to plan ahead.
Plenty of buses drive right by our breweries. Use Transport NSW’s Trip Planner to see the best routes for you and your itinerary.
Given the Ale Trail’s nature, we usually advise that patrons use public transport, but if you’re a designated driver or not drinking, there is some street parking available close to most breweries. Just be wary that spaces are limited, often timed and / or paid parking.
The Ale Trail is well-serviced by rideshare and taxi companies so you won’t be waiting long. Book a ride with Uber, Didi or Shebah (with women drivers who only pick up women and children – men can pre-book trips ahead).
To book a taxi, call 13CABS on 13 2227, or go online at the 13CABS website.
