In a testament to their talents, Kicks had beer fans frothing at the mouth before they even opened their brewery. Previously, founders Brendan and Jess ‘gypsy-brewed’ at friends’ breweries, with their impressive IPAs and hazy beers always selling out quickly.

Now happily brewing on their home turf, the couple have fashioned a friendly neighbourhood taproom bar, full of good vibes and stylish touches. Its minimalist design belies Brendan’s big, bold beers that include a hit list of hoppy lagers, juicy hazies and huge IPAs. With a fierce reputation and plans to expand their venue soon, this rising star is already a must visit on the Trail.
