The Ale Trail stars on Channel 7’s Sydney Weekender this Saturday

Catch us on your TV screen this Saturday at 5:30pm

Lights, camerasโ€ฆ ales! This Saturday weโ€™re on the telly with Channel 7โ€™s Sydney Weekender travel show touring the Ale Trail at 5:30pm.

Show host Sally Stanton and her crew recently visited the Trail to soak up the vibes and sample all the drinks and delicious dishes on offer.ย

First stop was Wildflower Brewing in Marrickville where founder and gracious host Topher Boehm talked to Sally about brewing his beers with wild yeasts and their exquisite range of gourmet share plates and on-site-produced cheeses. He even showed her how to pour a beer, but it turned out to be more of a foam party!ย

Next up, they checked out Philter Brewingโ€™s rooftop bar and new retro sports bar. Guided by co-founder Stef Constantoulas, Sally tried her first ever gin-sour slushie and sampled the breweryโ€™s brilliant menu of souvlaki, pizzas, tacos, wings and burgers. Seriously, there was so much food (see the pics) but we donโ€™t think the TV crew werenโ€™t complaining.ย

Last but not least, Sydney Weekender rolled into Sauce Brewingโ€™s epic beer garden for some smoked BBQ platters, washed down with a couple more bevvies with friends and a chat with Sauce owner Mike Clarke.ย

It was a big, big day out and Sydney Weekender certainly left well-hydrated and very, very full. With three breweries done and dusted and only 14 more to go, we canโ€™t wait to have them back again some time soon!

Catch Sydney Weekender‘s Ale trail special this Saturday 16th November at 5:30pm on Channel 7.
